A Tough Week

Al and Daniel's Great-Grandmother Gert passed away this week.

She will be missed greatly.

Alistair and Gert (or as Aidan called her, G.G.) in July 2009.

Gert is 91 in this photo, and Al is about 11 weeks.

 Dada went to South Carolina for the memorial service.

What are a tired mommy, a 3-week-old and a 21-month-old to do home alone for 2 days and 3 nights?

Visit with cousins, Auntie and Uncle

And, go to the Mall of America with Auntie, Ward and Mary.

Seriously, this was NOT an easy week - we had lots of help from our friends

OK, not everyone is as excited as we are about it...

...but we have some serious spring fever and this should help.

It's been 35 degrees this week, and Daniel enjoyed his first walk yesterday (in sling, not stroller just yet).

In other news, how about these stats for Danny's growth:

2/2/11 = 7 lbs 9 oz

2/4/11 = 7 lbs 2 oz

2/11/11 = 8 lbs 10 oz

For those keeping score at home, that's 6 sticks of butter

We think they look pretty similar.

Daniel may have slightly rounder cheeks, and he's definitely not as jaundiced as Al was.

Healthy and Happy (mostly!)

Big brother Al has been TERRIFIC about this whole baby thing.
