Smiles

For about a week, you-know-who has been smiling at us.
But it's very difficult to capture....
...so I filled up the memory card this afternoon.

We can't get enough.

Saba watches patiently while lots of pics are taken
during a marathon laundry and photo session.

All the laundry got folded, and everyone fell asleep.
We also had a great time earlier in the weekend when some
visitors from the cardio-renal lab came to hang out
and discuss hearts and kidneys.
Paul, Al, Tomoko, Selma, Jeson, James and Valentina.
There was also an ice cream cake involved!
And, we had a visit from Al's new buddy Weston (5 months),
with his mommy Lisa and daddy T.J.

T.J. was a champion at the Rochesterfest Triathlon today!

Al's Pals

Some Adventures with buddies in the last week....
With Sarah and Abigail in Cannon Falls on Saturday

With Selma while visiting Dad at work on Wednesday

With Claire (6 months) at Thursday's on First last week...
Claire is 6 months and very beautiful - Al has a little crush!

This is an earlier photo of Al and his buddy Oliver -
we went to prenatal class with Olli's parents Brad and Catherine.

Olli was born May 3rd, 24 hrs before Alistair!

And some time hanging out with Dad...
watching golf on TV.

Getting corn on the cob ready. Yum.

Congratulations to Daddy who is
DONE with his internal medicine residency tomorrow morning!

6 Weeks Old

Hi Guys! I've been up to lots of trouble in my 6th week.

But I had a RECORD sleep last night...5 plus hours, then a midnight snack, then 3 more hours!!

-Mommy and Daddy were HAPPY-

Al likes to sleep in his own room, in his big boy crib (best baby present EVER, from Steve) now.

Please note that Al's tummy birthmark is in the shape of South Carolina.

Maybe this bath isn't quite so much fun....

National Eagle Center

After the rainy weekend we all had cabin fever.

On Wednesday, the weather was *relatively* nice and we still had Auntie Sarah around!
So we went to the National Eagle Center in Wabasha

Daddy and Al baby, all cuddled up in his Baby Ergo, thanks to Jamie, Sarah and Abigail.

Let's try that one again...

Here's Auntie Sarah

This is Columbia, one of the center's education eagles.
She is very patriotic...

...and has a much bigger wing span than Sarah!
Columbia and her handler Jerry.

Alistair's first portrait with a raptor.

The day finished up with a cozy evening on the deck.
Another note - on Friday we had a wonderful visit from Nathan's mommy Betsy and Grandma Nancy, but we FORGOT to break out the camera! Thanks for the visit, guys!

Visitors

We had a busy and fun weekend when the Mckie's visited...

Al couldn't wait to meet his Grandma and Grandpa McKie
(at least, we couldn't wait for him to meet them!)

Alistair had his first cold and fever this weekend,
which lead to stressed out parents...
we were glad for all the help we could get!

Grandma Martha

Aunt Alice (AKA "Little Al") and Uncle Chris

Auntie Sarah

Grandma made Al a quilt!

Grandpa had a matching hairstyle

Blue has a favorite auntie!

Namesake

Dr. A.J. Wallace came to visit us all the way from Winston-Salem over Memorial day!

She is Al's own personal pediatrician.

We're so lucky to have such good buddies!

Al's mommy and AJW at Furman ca. 1998...yikes!

This A.J. prefers to think that she is Alistair Joseph's* namesake.

Definitely not this A.J.
